The course
A point-to-point that starts in Carcavelos, in front of NOVA School of Business & Economics, and runs the Estrada Marginal coast road past Estoril and Oeiras, then along the Tagus into central Lisbon, finishing at Praça do Comércio. It's flat and fast, maxing out near 40 meters, with both start and finish at sea level. The catch is the exposed waterfront: the 08:00 start gives little shade, so a warm October day can punish the back half. The cutoff is 6 hours.
