NYC Marathon

Training while traveling

You're traveling into New York on a taper, not a training block, so the goal is to stay loose, not to chase fitness you already banked. Two or three easy 20–30 minute shakeouts is plenty.

Jet lag wrecks sleep more than legs. Get morning light, keep the last day before the race flat and boring, and don't test the local nightlife the night before — that's a rookie mistake that shows up at 30km.
