Stand at the Forums for the start and the finish the FAQ names. Circo Massimo is on the list without a kilometre.

The one area with a mile
Start and finish, per the FAQ, are the Imperial Forums and the Colosseum. We gave that area mile 0 and mile 26.2 and said so.
Do not invent the middle
Circo Massimo, St Peter's, Piazza del Popolo, and the rest of the FAQ list have no kilometres. The plans do not assign them.
The 2026 marathon page is still up, with a 22 March 2026 start. Do not use those waves for 2027.
Ready-made plans
Fori Imperiali
Adult support crewThe FAQ names one area for the start and the finish: the Imperial Forums and the Colosseum, on Via dei Fori Imperiali. It does not publish a kilometre for the other landmarks.
Mile 0
Via dei Fori Imperiali
The FAQ does not name a start station.
Mile 0 is the published start street, not a surveyed mat. The FAQ says the start is given from 08:00. The rules say approximately 08:30.
Mile 26.2
Fori Imperiali and the Colosseum
The FAQ does not name a finish station.
Mile 26.2 is the same named area, because the FAQ says partenza e arrivo there. It is not a second survey.
Meetup: Pick a door on Via dei Fori Imperiali the night before. There is no published family pen.
Circo Massimo, then the finish
FamilyBibs are at the Expo Village in Circo Massimo. The course list includes Circo Massimo and does not give it a kilometre, so this plan does not invent one.
Mile 0
Circo Massimo
Metro B, Circo Massimo. The expo page says the village is about 50 m from that stop.
Mile 0 here means no kilometre was published. Use it for bibs, not as a promise the runners pass the metro stairs.
Meetup: After the bib, move to Via dei Fori Imperiali for the finish the FAQ names.

Checked 5 November 2026 against the FAQ, the September Italian rules, the April English short rules, both expo pages, and the ENDU card that still says Register now. No GPX. The finish is the same named area as the start, not a surveyed mat.
